Student 1
Student 1: Ode to a tree
Thy window whose glass reflects
A tree with many leaves
Colourful leaves with the effect
Of putting a mind at peace
The tree itself is vibrant
The tree itself is amazing
The trunk is enormously giant
The whole thing is fascinating.
An unbelievable sight see
Which seed did it come from
It must be a plum tree
And in many years to come,
No one can disagree
That it’ll be the biggest of them all
Yes I guarantee
That it’ll be very tall.
Each branch tells a story
Each leaf has a past
That tree will keep on breathing
That tree will not die fast
Until its very last
Moment of glory
It will remain in the grass
In the garden of John Keats.
Oh marvellous wonderful tree
With as many branches as the stars
Really magnificent is thee
Truly is the best by far
It’s got everything there needs to be
No matter how long left, months, weeks, days
In the garden of John Keats
The tree will always remain.
