Students bring their puppets and props to life in preparation for their immersive theatre production

As part of the Keats House Immersive Theatre project, students from St Thomas More School in Wood Green engaged in a two part puppetry workshop. Looking at the script, the students identified the puppets and props required. Working in a making team, the students utilised cardboard in creative ways with a variety of painting techniques to bring their puppets and props to life.

In the second part of the workshop, the students used their puppets and props to act out the scene where Charles Brown's beloved Long Case Clock is shipped away and caught up in a storm. The students practiced this scene with narration and worked on puppetry techniques as well as considering the audiences view point and sound effects. Students engaged in this second workshop were excited to contribute imaginative ideas to develop their puppetry piece for the final showing at Keats House in March.
